TRANSRORTING RAIL UNIT AND CONNECTION MECHANISM IN LIBRARY APPARATUS

A transfer rail unit, a connection mechanism, and a library apparatus are provided to reduce the product cost and the managing cost. A transfer rail unit includes a rail(31,32), a first drive mechanism(33), and a second drive mechanism(34). The rail guides the movement of a movable body. The first drive mechanism produces propulsion force of the movable body to a first position on the rail. The second drive mechanism receives the weight of the movable body when the movable body is moved from a second position on the front side of the first position to the first position to be displaced and accumulates resilient repulsive force according to the displacement. The second drive mechanism produces a propulsion force of the movable body on the basis of the resilient repulsive force when the movable body is moved on the rail to the first position.
