A BAD CARD EXHAUST APPARATUS FOR CARD-READER

An automatic defect card exhaust apparatus in a card reader is provided to automatically exhaust and select a card where print fault is generated during a print process, thereby removing the necessity for a special selecting work and accordingly reducing card production costs and production time. An automatic defect card exhaust apparatus in a card reader comprises the followings: a car cumulating member(120); a first elastic member(130) of which one end is combined on the card cumulating member and the other end is combined with a base plate(110) so that a transfer path of a normal card, transferred from a card supplying party, is elongated on an upside of the card cumulating member, and which applies constant tensile force; a rotation preventing piece(140) which is formed on the base plate so that the other side of the card cumulating member is locked in order to prevent the card cumulating member from being rotated by the tensile force of the first elastic member; a solenoid(150) which is installed so that a rod side is connected to the card cumulating member in order to exhaust the defect card as the card cumulating member is reversely rotated according as external force exceeding the tensile force of the first elastic member is applied; and a defect card sensor(160) which senses the defect card entering the card cumulating member and applies a sensing signal to a controller so as to exhaust the defect card as the card cumulating member is rotated according as a protruded rod of the solenoid is sucked up.
