MPEG-4 WEB CAMERA SYSTEM BASED ON BROADBAND POWER LINE COMMUNICATIONS

A web camera system based on broadband power line communications is provided to encode a moving image signal and an audio signal according to an MPEG-4 encoding method and transmit the encoded signals to a remote server through broadband power line communication in order to enable image monitoring and control in real time. An MPEG-4 web camera system based on broadband power line communications capable of transmitting MPEG-4 moving images at a high speed through a power line(100) includes a broadband power line communication based MPEG-4 local web camera(200) and a remote server(300). The MPEG-4 local camera encodes a moving image signal inputted from a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera and transmits the encoded moving image signal to the remote server through broadband power line communication. The remote server collects image data in real time and monitors images, or searches stored image data.
