A public traffic system is provided to allow a bike user to utilize a bike storage facility when using public traffic by installing a specific terminal at the bike storage facility. A public traffic system comprises a payment apparatus(200) for payment of traffic charge and a communication network(100) including a management server(300) for managing information of the payment apparatus(200). A recognition apparatus(1) is connected to the management server(300) and recognizes the payment apparatus(200). A plurality of bike storage stands(2) comprise a locking apparatus(21) that is locked or released according to recognition results of the payment apparatus(200) through the recognition apparatus(1). The management server(300) is connected to the network of a self-governing body, which controls public traffic of a corresponding area, through the communication network(100).
