Dynamic Service Allocation Gateway System and the Method for Plug?Play in the Ubiquitous environment

A gateway system for automatically allocating a service for plug and play in a ubiquitous environment and a method thereof are provided to enable a device to automatically request an address and a communication port of a server for the service after making an access to a network. A gateway system for automatically allocating a service for plug and play in a ubiquitous environment comprises a communication port receiver(21), a TCP/IP unit(22), a receipt processor(23), a list storage unit(24) and a health checking unit(25). The communication port receiver(21) receives a communication port request of a device application. The TCP/IP unit(22) transmits the communication port request of the application to a host based service gateway by using a TCP/IP packet or a default gateway of the same link. The receipt processor(23) receives a service request of the device and transmits the received service request to a server for the service. The list storage unit(24) stores a list of the servers for the service. The health checking unit(25) checks whether communication with the server is possible.
