FIELD: ceramic industry; space industry; aircraft industry; motor car industry; methods of production of the ceramic materials on the basis of zirconium dioxide reinforced by the discrete fibers of aluminum oxide.;SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to ceramic industry, in particular, to production of the composite ceramic materials reinforced by the discrete ceramic fibers, which may be used in space, aircraft, car and other industries. The technical result of the invention is production of the composite material with the high destruction viscosity. The method of production of the ceramic material includes the molding of the pressing billets out of the plasma-chemical powder representing the mixture of the powders of zirconium dioxide and aluminum oxide, and the thermal treatment. The reinforcing fibers are produced in the process of the thermal treatments, which are conducted in two stages. At the first stage during the annealing of the pressing in the charge at the temperature of 1000-1200°C within 8-12 hours synthesize the crystallization centers α -Al2О3 by the directed crystallization of aluminum oxide from the supersaturated solid solution. Then the pressing is extracted from the charge and conduct its vacuum sintering at the temperature of 1500-1700°C with the isothermal aging of 1-7 hours for the final formation of the reinforced fibers.;EFFECT: the invention ensures production of the composite material with the high destruction viscosity.;3 cl, 3 ex
