The slit line for the contactless transmission of information by means of electromagnetic waves between two objects movable relative to one another, with a dielectric insulating material and surrounded in the interior of a lengthwise slotted outer conductor embedded inner conductor,characterized by the,– that the outer conductor is in the form of a groove (2) in a metal body (1) is formed, and– that the metal body (1) on the upper side with the groove (2) is flat and– that the insulating material (3) the groove (2) and completely fills up with its visible from the outside surface ends flush with the planar upper side of the metal body (1) which closes off.
