The system has an exhaust air module (200) with a heat transfer unit (300) for extracting heat of exhaust air, and a heat pump (100) for extracting the heat of a heat source (400). A heat source pump (5) pumps fluid from the heat source to the heat pump, and pumps another fluid through the transfer unit for ensuring a flow rate of the module. The heat source pump is integrated into the heat pump. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a heat pump system.
