The method involves assigning each process of a process group such that the processes are functionally dependent from each other. The processes are monitored upon malfunction, and a non interrupted process is identified in case of malfunction. The processes are regenerated by executing a regeneration command and by an effect of restart-instructions. Monitoring instructions and regenerating instructions are synchronized in the group. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring and regenerating a process in a distributed application environment e.g. medical-clinical application.
