The center has operator work places (VAG1, VAG2, VAG3) connected with evacuated operator workplaces (OP1, OP2) through a network connection of a communications network according to an input of operator specific access data. The workplaces (VAG1, VAG2, VAG3) forward call to the evacuated workplaces through a call distribution system. An identification of an operator, a telephone number and a password are provided as the access data. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an information center.
