The arrangement has a sensor circuit (5) with resistors connected in series to terminals (10, 11). A tap (51) between the resistors is coupled to feedback input (24) of a desired value regulating circuit (2). The circuit (2) compares common-mode level of input signal at tap (51) with a reference signal to generate control signal, which is fed at reference input (23) to a regulatable current source (3). The level is dependent on the source current output and the reference signal is half of the sum of two common-mode potentials. The source is controlled to maintain the levels at input and output identical. An independent claim is also included for a method for frequency conversion.
