The device has light emitting diode fields (30, 40), and a triggering circuit (20) to control the field to convert lighting function. The field has diode banks (31, 33, 41, 43) that can be controlled by the circuit clocked with an adjustable pulse and intermission ratio. A preset number of light emitting diodes (32, 34, 42, 44) of the banks is controlled in a temporally shifted manner to convert the function with a reduced brightness.
