The method involves guiding web over folding funnels (11, 18) and longitutinally folding web to a sectional strand. The web is guided over one of two flanks of another folding funnels, before it is cut into product sections in a transverse cut direction (17). The strands are guided on different flanks, where the latter folding funnels with its funnel projection is oriented to a machine central level. The former folding funnel is movably designed transverse to the accumulating direction of the latter folding funnels around a positioning area. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for producing a product section in a web processing machine (2) a product section of a roller rotary printing machine.
