The fragrance emitting device for use in especially a private motor vehicle has an opening (4) for emitting the fragrance and which is sealed by a sealing component (5) which acts by spring force. The sealing component is transferred into the open position during action of acceleration force during travel which relieves the spring force. A rotationally symmetrically designed connecting piece (3), constructed as a cone, forms the opening and is sealable by a ball which forms the sealing component.
