In the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells from cells with hepatocytary characteristics, the mesenchymal stem cells are cultured in vitro in EMSZ (expansion medium of stem cells) as expansion medium and are differentiated at a 90-100%-confluence with 5'-azacytidine and in HHMM (human hepatocyte maintenance medium) as differentiation medium under addition of hepatotropic growth factors. The mesenchymal stem cells show a clonal growth, exhibit a multi-potent differentiation potential and a characteristic phenotype and are obtained from human tissues. ACTIVITY : Hepatotropic.
