The method involves considering full partial polygon formed by parting lines (8, 9, 10) that lie between respective two adjacent concave vertices (P6, P9, P10, P13) of a polygon (7), and separating that partial polygon from the polygon. The full partial polygon formed by the parting lines (8, 9, 10) that are between the concave vertex (P6, P9, P10, P13) and additional vertex (P7, P8, P11, P12, P13, P14, P15) of the polygon are considered, where that partial polygon is separated from the polygon. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for segmenting a non convex polygon into convex partial polygons.
