The vapor extraction hood (1) has a housing (2) with at least one inlet opening and at least one outlet opening (12) and a condensation unit (7) formed by a bundle of tubes (8) and a housing enclosing the bundle of tubes. The inlet opening of the housing of the vapor extraction hood is directed downwards. An independent claim is also included for a method of improving the climate of a room containing an excess of steam.
