Non-Newtonian fluid`s volume flow rate determination method, involves determining volume flow rate using integral form of principle of linear momentum under inclusion of kinematic viscosity of fluid and pipe radius
The method involves determining a volume flow rate of non-Newtonian fluid from two pressures successively measured in a flow direction under inclusion of a pipe cross section. Difference between the two pressures is measured at a rigid fence (4) of a minimal-invasive fence probe (1) in a front-sided and back-sided manner. Wall shear stress is determined in consideration of a calibration curve of the probe. The volume flow rate is determined using an integral form of the principle of linear momentum under inclusion of kinematic viscosity of the fluid and a pipe radius. An independent claim is also included for a fence probe for executing a method for determination of volume flow rate of non-Newtonian fluid.
