Positioning method involves application of strip (3,4,5,6) of product on preparatory non-woven strip. Method also involves the detection of position (c1,c2) and width (b) of the applied strip during the supply of the non-woven strip. The method involves comparison of the detected position and width of the applied strip with desired values. The application of the product is controlled in the sense of comparison for current and desired values.
