Coupling device has first articulated link (4) which can be arranged in transverse direction in external area of coach body (2,3). Second articulated link (5) is provided, which is arranged in transverse direction in relation to facing side of respective coach body. Each articulated link directed by locking means (12,13,14) can be locked at gap extension means (8,9,10), which enables unlocked condition of enlarged gap between first and second coach body.
