Permanent magnet-excited synchronous motor e.g. electrically commutating motor, commutation method, involves determining driving voltage in commutation sector, and determining rotor position from characteristics of motor current or voltage
Permanent magnet-excited synchronous motor e.g. electrically commutating motor, commutation method, involves determining driving voltage in commutation sector, and determining rotor position from characteristics of motor current or voltage
The method involves determining driving voltage belonging to an actual rotation speed of a permanent magnet-excited synchronous motor in each commutation sector by keeping motor current as constant. A rotor position is determined from characteristics of the measured motor current by keeping the driving voltage or from characteristics of the driving voltage by keeping the motor current as constant. The synchronous motor is activated with an electrically or electronically produced rotating field.
