The method involves accommodating a hollow organ (24) and the catheter point (29) of two-dimensional fluoroscopy images. A 3D start position of the catheter is determined from the images. A 3D representation of the hollow organ is reconstructed based on the two dimensional catheter image under consideration of the deviation of the position of the catheter from the central path (25) and the orientation of the catheter.
