The light has illuminating light emitting diodes and a clocked transducer device for stabilizing power consumption of the diodes with a voltage of an electrical system of a vehicle e.g. commercial vehicle trailer. The light is designed for a low electrical supply-nominal voltage of 22 volt and a high electrical system-voltage of 24 volt. The voltage is variable over an input voltage range having lower and upper ranges below the low electrical system-nominal voltage and above the upper electrical system-nominal voltage, respectively.
