The method involves setting soil cultivation tools corresponding to site-specific plant-and/or weed densities by motor setting units. Default value settings are analyzed by sensing a surface of a field by a sensor unit (18), and by evaluating evaluation programs depending on the density of the plant or the weed. The evaluation programs are transmitted to an on-board computer by the sensor unit, and are saved in a storage medium. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method.
