Coriolis-mass flow rate measuring device operating method, involves utilizing indicator parameter and additional indicator parameter for detection of multiphase flow, where additional parameter is independent of indicator parameter
The method involves providing a measuring pipe that passes through a carrier medium e.g. water, where the pipe subjects a vibration excitation that leads to resultant vibrations of the tube. An indicator parameter and an additional indicator parameter are utilized for detection of multiphase flow, where the additional parameter is independent of the indicator parameter. The indicator parameter depends on a parameter based on frictional losses within the flow and another parameter based on the inhomogeneity of the flow. The indicator parameter depends on a third parameter based on the modeling of nominal characteristics of a Coriolis-mass flow rate measuring device (1) or a fourth parameter based on delay effects of the flow between two determination areas that are spaced from each other in a longitudinal direction of the pipe for the resultant vibrations.
