The method involves determining a fluctuation parameter, which represents a ratio between the fluctuation of an amplitude of an otoacoustic emission (OAE) and the fluctuation of a phase of the otoacoustic emission. A primary excitation is implemented with a set of different primary acoustic pressures. An incremental function of the fluctuation parameter is determined depending on different primary acoustic pressures. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining data about a condition of a hearing organ.
