The device has a brake system, with a brake control chip (20), functioning as continuously working brake system or pulsating antilock braking system. The system has a set of control buttons (22) arranged at a steering wheel (16) for selecting the duration of a tightening phase and the duration of a releasing phase of each tightening/releasing brake cycle. A LCD-display (24) is provided for presenting the durations.
