The device (1) has an agent (50) for switching a telephone line, and a terminal that is line connected with a receiver terminal by a telephone number. A management block transfers a control command to the agent for the line connection. The agent creates the line connection between the terminal and the receiver terminal using the telephone number based on the command, where the telephone number is common to a set of telephone numbers that are correspondingly assigned to the telephone lines. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a telephone line switching method for switching a call by an agent between terminals (2) a telephone line switching program for switching a call by an agent between terminals.
