The device has information carriers (9) designed as cards and provided with two-dimensionally represented information in the form of exercise- and answer fields. A covering device covers the fields and is designed as a writable, readable or erasable board (22) to temporarily set out an answer (21). The board is guided in the carriers in such a manner that the board lies parallel to a base surface of the carriers and a relative adjustment of the board is compatible parallel and anti-parallel to the surface of the carriers and to a direction limited by a stop unit.
