The breaker has a sample and hold circuit (4) comprising a mutual inductor that has windings and is connected with a relay (2) and a load. A comparison and performance circuit (14) is connected with the relay, is utilized for receiving signals from the circuit (4) and has an operational amplifier for processing the signals. A control unit controls relay operation corresponding to operation of the amplifier to activate or deactivate the relay. A delay circuit is integrated between the circuits (4, 14).
