The manually operated insect trapping device has a clamping and release lever (34) with a driver lever, the first arm of which bears by its free end against the movable impact wing (16) which is raised from its initial position into a release position by the first arm of the driver lever until the second arm bears against a first axis (32) in the handle (12) so that the driver lever and clamping release lever are fixed in the release position. With further movement of the clamping and release lever, the free end of the first lever arm is released from the impact wing and the clamping and release lever returns by spring action.
