The device has a connection interface unit (14), and a mouse module (15) that controls an operation and movement of a cursor in a mouse input mode. A media playing module (11) reads multimedia information in a medium playing mode, and executes playing of the multimedia information. A key control unit (13) is connected with the mouse module and the playing module to input a control signal for controlling the operation of the cursor or to execute the playing of the multimedia information. The cursor control device is switchable between the mouse input mode and the media playing mode.
