In this way, the flow through the atomizer disk (23) is controllable in flow operation and is actively regulatable at any time. The atomizer disk (23) is suitable particularly for use on a fuel injector, in particular a high-pressure fuel injector for direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine having compression of a fuel mixture and spark ignition.
