PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil drainage device of an upper looper mechanism in an overlock sewing machine free from getting a thread and cloth dirty due to spattering of lubricating oil to over an upper looper table by vertical moving of the upper looper table.;SOLUTION: At an upper looper table guide 7 which the upper looper table 12 penetrates through, a through hole 25 opening at a spot facing part 24 and a groove 26 parallel to the through hole 25 on the outer peripheral surface of the upper looper table guide are formed. A first oil drainage hole 27 opening at an edge at the upper end of a through-hole 11 and a second oil drainage hole 28 opening at the groove 26 are branched from the through hole 25. The opening of the first oil drainage hole 27 is brought into contact with the upper looper table 12, and the opening of the second oil drainage hole 28 and the groove 26 are exposed from the vertical hole 6 of an upper looper base 4 when the upper looper table 12 reaches an upper dead point and a lower dead point. A circulation hole 39 formed at a frame 2 is opened at an oil core 29 mounted to the spot facing part 24 of the upper looper table guide 7 and consisting of felt, and is connected with the first pump main body 33 of the oil drainage device consisting of a double-layer type trochoid pump to forcibly drain oil through the first and second oil drainage holes 27 and 28.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
