The method involves identifying a set of actions available to execute task execution requests, and describing actions available on computers of an information system. Software agents provided to execute different available actions are implemented, where each agent is a task carrier. The agents search the actions capable of realizing the entire or part of the task, in response to a task execution request, and collect the results of the different actions. The agents compose the collected results to generate the result of the realization of the task which they are carrying. An independent claim is also included for a system for executing a task within an information system comprising computers connected in network.
