The method involves aspirating air, flowing in the center of a vortex, along a longitudinal axis (28), for reducing the longitudinal velocity of the air in movement at the center of the vortex to create a destruction of wake vortex structures (22), where the axis is aligned with that of the vortex. The structures extend longitudinally around the axis (28) which is along a wall and define detachment and attachment lines (30, 34) in detachment zone (32) and attachment zone of the wall, respectively. The lines (30, 34) extend spaced from each other in the same direction as that of the axis (28). An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling wake vortex structure of a wall of a motor vehicle in movement with respect to the air.
