The method involves applying a sound texture, from an instrument playing a piano note, to a sound base from an instrument playing a forte note. Spectral analyses of the texture and a forte note sound are formed. A variability of a spectral envelope is measured to form a texture statistic model. The forte note sound is filtered by spectral subtraction to preserve texture components. Low and high-pass filtering are applied and mixed at the end of application and filtering steps, respectively. A filtering application and mixing step result is mixed with a forte note sound recording.
