Nail varnish composition comprises an organic solvent and a block copolymer (Ia) comprising an inner polyalkylene glycol block and two outer polyethylene glycol blocks or a block copolymer (Ib) that comprises at least one polyethylene glycol block and at least one polypropylene glycol block and has a molecular weight of at least 1000. Nail varnish composition comprises an organic solvent and a block copolymer of formula (Ia) or a block copolymer (Ib) that comprises at least one polyethylene glycol block and at least one polypropylene glycol block and has a molecular weight of at least 1000. HO(CH 2CH 2O) n(C xH 2xO) m(CH 2CH 2O) pH (Ia) n, m, p : 1-1000; and x : 3-10. Independent claims are also included for: (1) cosmetic make-up or nontherapeutic care treatment for nails, comprising applying at least one layer of nail varnish as above to the nails; (2) cosmetic product comprising a receptacle that has a closure and has a compartment containing nail varnish as above.
