The sun lounger has a frame which supports the mattress (32). The frame has a horizontal base section (14) and a back rest section (16) which can be swiveled upwards with respect to it. A short section of frame (24) between the other two sections can be swiveled using levers (20) and rollers (26) so that when the back rest is raised the angle between the short section and the base section is smaller than that between the back rest and the base section.
