The method for vibro-acoustic isolation of car boots and hatchbacks comprises fitting a deformable stop between the boot lid or hatchback and the car bodywork. This has a static stiffness K and is fitted with a spring (4) of dynamic stiffness K' whose value is as close as possible to K. An independent claim is included for a stop for use in the method.
