The device has an inverted U-shaped portico (1) extending in a vertical plane, where the portico is adapted to span over a longitudinal support (21). The portico has a central part (4) and two lateral columns (5). Each column is provided with a lateral support unit (2) along a longitudinal side of the support for permitting displacement of the support to its extension plane. The portico has a front face and a rear face with respect to its displacement. The portico has two pairs of bearings (8) for receiving and positioning a roller (23) of a plastic film (22) in a horizontal position.
