The method involves locating a user of a control interface in a predefined zone e.g. road. The user is located by detecting the presence of the user in the zone by defining a location in the zone, where the user is found in the location by detecting a location change with respect to the defined location and alerting on detection of the location change. A list of equipments to be controlled by the user is displayed, if the user is located in the predefined zone e.g. road. The control interface is parameterized, based on an equipment, if it is selected by the user. An independent claim is also included for a system for adaptation of a control interface.
