The engine (1) has a turbocompressor (T) comprising a turbine (4) connected to a compressor (6) by an axle (5). An intake conduit (7) connects an output of the compressor to an intake manifold (9). An exhaust conduit (3) connects an exhaust manifold (2) to an input of the turbine. A by-pass conduit (11) connects the intake conduit to the exhaust conduit and equipped with an ejector (12). The ejector has an ejection conduit (13) whose end is engaged in the exhaust conduit, and openings are provided in a wall of the ejection conduit. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an engine.
