PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in security that, when an image is projected while a user enters a projection area, a time lag may be generated until detecting and dealing with the invasion of the user and it is possible for the user to directly irradiate the eyes with dangerous projection light. PSOLUTION: When an operation instructing the projection of a projector 10 is accepted from a user, in a remote controller 50, a projection instruction signal is transmitted to the projector 10. At the projector 10, the projection instruction signal from the remote controller 50 is then received and position information of the remote controller 50 is acquired. While the remote controller 50 is located within an optical path area of the projector 10, on the basis of the position information, it is determined that light can not be projected from the projector 10, and control to project light from the projector 10 is not performed.
