PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a device, and a program for designing a corpus independently of the number of sentences and the length of a sentence of a text sentence set.;SOLUTION: The design method for constructing the corpus by selecting the optimum unit constituting the corpus includes: a quality evaluation step evaluating a corpus quality increase amount when a candidate unit is added to the corpus; a work cost evaluation step evaluating a work cost increase amount required when adding the unit to the corpus; and a selection step selecting the unit satisfying a predetermined condition on the basis of the quality increasing amount and the work cost increasing amount.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
