PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating and screening a substance, having preventive or treatment effect of pollinosis, a drug for preventing or treating the pollinosis, a method for producing the drug, a method for examining the pollinosis and a drug for pollinosis.;SOLUTION: This method for evaluating or screening the substance having preventive or treatment effect of the pollinosis comprises at least a process of evaluating whether a substance to be tested has an inhibitory effect against a pectin-decomposing enzyme and/or fungus, releasing the pectin-decomposing enzyme, and the method for producing the drug for the prevention or treatment of the pollinosis is also provided. Furthermore, the drug for the prevention and treatment of the pollinosis, consisting of the substance having inhibitory effects of the pectin-decomposing enzyme and/or fungus, releasing the pectin-decomposing enzyme as an active ingredient, is provided.
