PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pupil detection device capable of detecting the position of a pupil speedily and precisely while achieving the simplification of the device configuration. PSOLUTION: The present invention comprises: an image read part 170 for reading a part of an image; an image data extraction part 220 for setting a plurality of concentric circles on the read image each as an integration circle, and extracting a plurality of pixel data located on the circumference of the integration circles, a circumferential integration part 230 for integrating the extracted pixel data along each of the circumferences of the integration circles, a pupil radius detection part 250 for detecting the fact that the integration value has changed stepwisely to the radius of the integration circles, and a pupil position detection part 280 for detecting the central coordinates of the integration circles as pupil position coordinates when the stepwise change is detected.
