PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating shear strength of a reinforced concrete beam taking into consideration a specific range of a slab part capable of sharing shearing force acting on the reinforced concrete beam, and a reinforced concrete beam structure.;SOLUTION: This shear strength evaluating method is for the reinforced concrete beam 1 composed of a precedently formed beam lower half part 2, and a beam upper half part 3 integrally formed with the slab part 4 continuing in the horizontal direction by using ordinary strength concrete having compressive strength lower than high strength concrete used for the beam lower half part 2; and comprises a first process of determining a cooperative width B of the slab part 4 in a range where compressive force shared by the slab part 4 does not exceed transmissible shearing force in a boundary surface S between the slab part 4 and the beam upper half part 3, a second process of proportionally increasing the compressive strength of the ordinary strength concrete on the basis of the cooperative width B, and a third process of determining the shear strength of the reinforced concrete beam 1 on the basis of the compressive strength of the proportionally increased ordinary strength concrete.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
