PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for identifying and managing corrosion, and to provide a method related to the system.;SOLUTION: This system identifies and manages the corrosion potential on the structure of an assembly by measuring "relative corrosion index" (RCI). A parameter that gives rise to the corrosion is identified, and their relative contributions to the furthering of the corrosion is incorporated into a computer-based system that is easily distributed. The computer program enables a user to calculate the RCI (relative corrosion index) about the assembly by using a single tool.
