PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe capable of predicting the effectiveness of an IFN therapy with a better accuracy than that of a conventional method in an individual to be administered with interferon, especially a patient infected with HCV. PSOLUTION: Provided is a nucleic acid probe comprising a polynucleotide comprising a contiguous sequence comprising 10 to 100 nucleotides including MxA-123 in a polynucleotide comprising a promotor sequence of MxA gene, and a polynucleotide comprising its complementary strand.
